These Terms & Conditions apply to all competitions and giveaways organized by The Icebreaking Company on social media channels (including Facebook and Instagram), unless otherwise stated in a specific campaign.
GENERAL COMPETITION AND GIVEAWAY TERMS
- Organizer
The organizer of the competition or giveaway is The Icebreaking Company (the “Organizer”). - Participation
Participation instructions are provided in the relevant campaign post.
Participation is free of charge and does not require the purchase of any product or service, unless otherwise stated and permitted by applicable law. - Eligibility
Competitions and giveaways are open to individuals who meet the campaign-specific eligibility requirements. Employees of The Icebreaking Company, individuals involved in administering the campaign, and members of their immediate households are not eligible to participate. - Winner Selection
The winner will be drawn or selected in the manner announced for the specific campaign, from among all entries meeting the eligibility requirements. The Organizer’s decision is final.
The winner will be contacted primarily through the social media channel on which the competition or giveaway was conducted. If the winner cannot be reached within a reasonable period of time, the Organizer reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
- Prize
The prize will be specified for each individual campaign. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or alternative products or services, unless otherwise determined by the Organizer. - Personal Data
Personal data collected from participants will be processed solely to administer the competition or giveaway, contact the winner, and deliver the prize. Data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and will not be used for other purposes without the participant’s consent. - Limitation of Liability
The Organizer reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions and to suspend or cancel a campaign due to force majeure or other reasonable cause.
The Organizer is not responsible for network failures, technical issues, or other circumstances affecting participation that are beyond the Organizer’s reasonable control. - Facebook, Instagram and Meta Disclaimer
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta Platforms, Inc., Facebook or Instagram.
Participants provide their information to The Icebreaking Company, not to Facebook, Instagram or Meta.
By participating, entrants fully release Meta Platforms, Inc., Facebook and Instagram from any liability related to the campaign. - Acceptance of the Terms
By participating in a competition or giveaway, participants agree to these Terms & Conditions and any campaign-specific additional terms.
Campaign-specific entry instructions, competition period, prize, and any additional terms will always be published in connection with the relevant competition or giveaway post.
PHOTO COMPETITION – ADDITIONAL TERMS
The following additional terms apply, alongside the general terms above, to photography competitions organized by The Icebreaking Company.
- Organizer
The competition organizer is The Icebreaking Company. - Competition Period
The competition period will be announced separately for each individual competition. Entries must be submitted within the published competition period. - Eligibility
Unless otherwise stated, the competition is open to individuals aged 18 years or older. Employees of The Icebreaking Company and members of their immediate households are not eligible to participate. No purchase is necessary to enter. - Copyright and Image Rights
By entering the competition, participants confirm that:
- they are the original creator and copyright holder of the submitted photograph;
- the photograph does not infringe the intellectual property or other rights of any third party;
- where applicable, they have obtained permission from any identifiable individuals appearing in the photograph.
Copyright remains with the photographer. By entering the competition, participants grant The Icebreaking Company a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, publish, and distribute the submitted photographs for marketing, communications, editorial and promotional purposes on the website, social media channels, presentation materials, and printed publications, including the right to repost entries on the Organizer’s own social media channels during and after the competition. The photographer will be credited whenever reasonably practicable.
- Winner Selection
The winner will be selected by a judging panel appointed by The Icebreaking Company. Entries will be evaluated based on originality, quality, storytelling, and relevance to the competition theme. The Organizer’s decision is final. - Prize
The prize will be specified for each individual competition. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or alternative products or services. - Limitation of Liability
The Organizer reserves the right to amend these terms and to suspend or cancel the competition for reasonable cause. The Organizer is not responsible for technical failures, network issues, or other circumstances affecting participation that are beyond the Organizer’s control. - Personal Data
Personal data collected in connection with the competition is used solely to administer the competition, contact the winner, and arrange prize delivery, in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, for example via private message on the relevant social media channel. - Facebook and Instagram Disclaimer
